The room had a lovely view, and breakfast was great apart from the coffee, which came from an automatic machine instead of being served from the regular coffee machine. The rooms are small and dated, and you can hear people talking in other rooms.

We found the staff genuinely friendly, and the pool area was tidy with good water quality. Breakfast was fresh, Italian-style, and very good. The restaurant and pool look out over San Gimignano and the Tuscan hills, with stunning views. Our double room was even nicer than in the hotel photos, and the shared areas were clean and well cared for. A relaxing place to stay near the village of San Gimignano.

Our bed looked set for a restful night's sleep, and the room was roomy, well ventilated, and tastefully furnished with a villa's rustic feel. It still had modern comforts, including plenty of storage, effective air conditioning, and a TV for relaxing. Set beside a gorgeous, sweeping valley, the hotel felt both comfortable and charming, and the stay was restorative and indulgent.

We spent three nights at Hotel Villa Ducci and were warmly welcomed by the staff. They even provided a plug adapter, which we especially appreciated. It felt like a perfect place to unwind, and we'd love to come back to Villa Ducci if we get the chance to visit San Gimignano again.

The view was spectacular, and you can walk to San Gimignano. Our large group was well looked after, with accommodating staff who were always helpful, and the food was delicious. The room was small and a rather disturbing pink, and the bed felt like a camp cot, but the rest of the stay more than made up for it. I'd definitely recommend this place.
