The rooms are roomy and well equipped, and the dining and breakfast rooms have a lovely antique feel. There’s a fireplace in almost every room, which is nice to come back to after a cold walk. It feels like being at home, with hotel comforts. The place seems tucked away, but it’s just the right distance from town. There’s even a handy path along the canal if you want to walk, and the surrounding views are classic Mantua countryside. The owner, chef, and waitresses all put real care into service and quality. It’s much more than a farmhouse, it feels like a little corner of paradise. We only stayed for a weekend, but already want to return for a longer holiday. Ask the owner about the agricultural and cultural projects she’s working on, they’re really interesting. And don’t miss the fillet steak with truffles or the ice cream with fig sauce. Definitely go!

We had dinner there too, and the food was excellent in both quality and portion size. The old farmhouse sits in the greenery, right by the road. Our spacious period room had its own refrigerator and coffee machine.

The painted ceilings are a real highlight, and the property is kept in excellent shape. Our room was roomy and practical, and breakfast was wonderful. It’s convenient if you’re travelling by car, with the highway about 3 km away. A couple of small hassles: insects can show up in the countryside, and the driveway is narrow and hard to spot, especially after dark.

Such a lovely farmhouse, with space, peace and quiet, frescoed ceilings, and Barbara's products. The B&B has a rustic elegance and plenty of charm. Thanks, Barbara, for being so kind. We’ll come visit again very soon. P.S. Save us some sbrisolona, we want to try it.
