B&B Casa dei Nonni

There’s a shared kitchen and dining table in the garden, so guests can meet each other. Our apartment was spacious, with a lovely terrace, and the view of the Policastro coast was amazing. Nicoletta and Giuseppe were wonderful hosts, even beyond what we expected. A great B&B, fully recommended!

It was such a special experience that we'll be talking about it for years. Nicolleta and Marianna were fabulous. Nicolleta took us on a day tour, then the two of them taught us a cooking class, followed by dinner and music.

We had a great time there, everything was perfect :)

At "the grandparents' house," spending time with Nicoletta, Giuseppe, and the other guests just feels wonderful. We highly recommend it and are already looking forward to going back. Their B&B, La Casa dei Nonni, was a great base for making the most of the Gulf of Policastro with our kayaks. We arrived in early September and spent 6 nights in a surprisingly spacious mini-apartment on the first floor, with a kitchenette, all the comforts, a shaded terrace, and a view of the gulf. It was a beautiful way to start the day. Exploring the coast from Palinuro to Marina di Maratea at the water's edge, taking it slow and often paddling into the wind, was a rewarding, memorable experience. The location was invigorating, like a breath of fresh air. Nicoletta and Giuseppe welcomed us with warmth and generosity, and were empathetic without ever intruding. They turned their grandparents' home into a hospitable place full of memories and experiences, with a family feel. The shared area has a kitchen guests can use, and we had lovely, generous breakfasts with other guests and their friends. There were fresh croissants, local honey, and freshly picked black figs and prickly pears each day, among other treats. Nicoletta gave us useful tips about destinations, beaches, must-see spots, and local restaurants, and shared stories about the area. We also loved her cooking. She made anchovies and eggplant stew with real skill and passion, and it won us over.
