Michael was so kind and helpful. He speaks English and took time to translate and explain the Italian writing we couldn't understand. The shrine of Padre Pio is very convenient to reach, and our room was clean and had a balcony. We couldn't get a signal in the room, though, and had to go downstairs near reception for decent Wi-Fi.

It's only 300 meters from Padre Pio, and the hotel was fairly clean. The food was just okay. I wish there had been a fan or air conditioning.

It was okay.

The room was clean and the hotel is in a great spot for visiting the Sanctuary. Dinner was harder: we were seated, then offered just one pork dish. It didn't work for us, so we had to eat somewhere else. A written set menu with some alternatives would make it easier to choose, since the verbal explanations could be confusing. Breakfast was average. For the price, I wasn't expecting luxury, just a bit more organization around the food. Cleanliness and location were good, but the meal service could be improved.

Gaetano and his wife Ivana are wonderful people, with a real warmth as well as great service. The cuisine was excellent, with distinctive flavors, and everything went so well at lunch. I went with 15 friends from Cerignola (FG) on Sunday, October 26th. They’re already eager to come back. I'm an old customer, so I keep returning too. The best in San Giovanni Rotondo!
