Vittoria

The lift costs 50 cents to reach the main road toward the hospital, but unfortunately it doesn't work on the way down. I was disappointed with the cleanliness. There were crumbs on the main desk when I arrived, and two poorly folded duvets in the wardrobe. One was dirty and stained when I took it as an extra. I asked reception to change the duvets, clean the desktop, and raise the temperature to 25 degrees. When I came back, the same filthy duvet was still in the wardrobe, just folded better, and the temperature was only 22.7.

A comfy bed, good breakfast, and plenty of free parking. The staff were rather indifferent. It's a no-frills place within walking distance of the Padre Pio Basilica and Church. There's a lift up to the bus station, but you have to pay 50 cents to use it.

The meals were a highlight, with plenty to choose from at both breakfast and dinner, and the room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. We came as a group to visit the Padre Pio Sanctuary, which is just across the street, so it was easy to walk back and forth. The sunrise view from the hotel was peaceful and stunning. There’s also a cozy café right beside it for coffee, ice cream, or liquor, a nice place to unwind after a long day. I’d recommend staying here for a Padre Pio pilgrimage.

The balcony view was breathtaking, and the hotel is an easy walk of under five minutes from the Church. We found the rooms cozy, with comfortable beds. Staff and restaurant waiters were very welcoming, and our food arrived quickly. Highly recommended.
