Queen Hotel

What stood out most was the chef and his cooking. He showed us the kitchen, talked through the meal beforehand, and what he served was at a five-star level. A senior gentleman who spoke German very well also took excellent care of us. The people were unusually friendly, and the hotel is nicely equipped with quality in mind. Everything was in great condition. It may sound odd, but we rarely come across a place this lovely. One of the best places we’ve ever visited. Absolutely great!

The food was the highlight for us. They asked what we wanted for dinner, and whatever you name, they’ll cook it. Fabulous! Ettore and the staff were gracious and treated us like family at this lovely spot in the Abruzzo hillside. Our room was large, with a stunning bathroom. If you’re flying from Abruzzo, it’s a 10 minute drive, and Ettore drove us and picked us up the day before when we had to return a rental car.

The food and wine were excellent and very reasonably priced. After our first meal, we changed our minds about going out to dinner in Pescara or Chieti. The ingredients were top quality, and the chef was excellent. The hotel sits among big green hills, vineyards, quiet woods and beautifully kept lawns, yet it’s less than 5 minutes from one of Italy’s nicest malls and the Autostrada. The owners are warm, generous hosts who clearly care about their guests. Rooms are quiet, with towel warmers, large flatscreen tvs with lots of channels, and comfortable, spacious beds. Breakfast was included, with a buffet of pies, cornettos, pastries and cereals, and the barista made us excellent “caffè Americano”. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. It’s easily our favorite hotel in Italy.
