Residence Appartements Konigsrainer

A really convenient place to stay. I parked the car when I arrived and didn’t need it again. The location is handy for everything, and the owner was very kind and helpful. Our apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the residence itself felt welcoming. Pool and sauna access were included, along with a pass for local museums and transport, trains included, covered by the tourist tax. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 15 days on our second visit, and once again it was wonderful. The Königsrainer family were as friendly as ever, and Mr. Königsrainer had fresh tips for places to eat and hikes to try. We got the same spacious, clean apartment as before, with its large balcony and lovely view across the Passeier Valley. Residence Königsrainer is still highly recommended, and we’d love to come back.

We stayed here with family for 10 days. The residence is close to the center of San Leonardo and the location is great. Our two-bedroom apartment had a large terrace, was simply but pleasantly furnished, and came with everything we needed. The owner was very kind and always available. I wondered at first how we’d manage with just two electric burners in the kitchen, but I quickly changed my mind. The only small drawback might be the bathroom without a window, though it’s fine for a few days. There’s also a small relaxation area with a hot tub, sauna, and Turkish bath. It’s a great choice for a holiday in the Passiria Valley, especially for the quality and price.

Restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and bakeries are all an easy walk away, and the location makes a great base for trips to the Jaufen region, Timmelsjoch Pass, Pfelders, or Merano. The hotel sits right by the Jaufen Pass road. You can get almost everywhere by bus, though they’re often very crowded. St. Leonhard also has a lovely outdoor pool, and a pleasant stroll along the Passer River takes you to the Sandwirt, where Andreas Hofer was born. There’s a nice inn there and a beautifully curated museum about his story. This was our second visit to Residence Königsrainer, and definitely not our last. The apartments are fantastic, beautifully furnished, and have everything you could need. The Königsrainers are warm, welcoming hosts with great local tips. We also really liked the wellness area, with its sauna, steam room, infrared cabin, and indoor pool with whirlpool.
