The food was a highlight, with tasty traditional dishes, daily specials and plenty of good choices. Breakfast was just as reliable. Our room looked lovely and seemed to have been renovated recently. The place sits right on the road up to the mountain pass, so you can watch and hear the bikes and cars go past, though evenings are still peaceful. There’s also a dedicated parking area for motorcycles. The host was genuinely friendly and helpful.

I expected basic lodging and ended up having a really good stay, including a great night's sleep. The hotel has a decent pool, a relaxing terrace and a sauna, and the restaurant serves local food at very reasonable prices. Staff were attentive and clearly cared about guests having a good experience. The rooms are large, with modern bathrooms and balconies overlooking the valley. From the restaurant you can watch the road and the bikers and car enthusiasts passing by. Parking is free, with some covered spaces that are especially handy for motorcycles.
