The mixed grill was amazing, and everything else we ate was excellent too, well presented, good quality, and cooked just right. We went for lunch with Italian friends and had two courses from the set menu, which started at €16 for one course with wine and coffee. There was plenty to choose from, including fish, and the portions were generous. The wine selection was excellent, and prices felt very reasonable for the portion sizes. Service was friendly and discreet at this lovely hotel in San Lorenzo in Campo. The ambiance and food won’t disappoint. One thing I’d change: there was no salt or pepper on the table, and no oil or cheese was offered with the pasta. They brought them quickly when we asked. I know that’s a personal preference.

We booked a superior room but ended up in a very poor one. Don’t get your hopes up when you reserve that category. The lovely room in the photos is the only one in the hotel that looks like that. Just one room! The others are very basic, at the lowest level. They sell superior rooms for the same day, but only have that one. You have to be “lucky” to get it. Good luck.

We found this place at the last moment for one night, and they were very accommodating. Really nice spot.
