Tenuta D'Amore

I went on a Sunday for an electronic music party by the pool. It had a great atmosphere and was packed, with excellent food from the resort's restaurant. There are two pools, a smaller one for kids, changing rooms for men and women, free WiFi, wheelchair access, and a large car park. Bring your pool gear, though you can't really swim there. To me, it's more of a place to hang out and cool off in the Salerno hills. Prices seemed reasonable for the area. Getting there from the highway exit is a little tricky, but worth the effort, and the resort has put up signs along the way to help.

We were in a basement room and could only see a wall, so ask for a view. The rooms are basic but clean, and the pool is beautiful. Staff were lovely and the place was very clean. The menu is limited. The bar closes at 10, though you can still sit by the pool afterward. You'll need a car, as good restaurants are 10-30 minutes away.

Carmen was great, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed four nights in a spacious, clean, quiet apartment and had a good breakfast. The resort is near the highway and has secure parking. Thank you!

We won't be coming back. The owners let their dog foul the car park, and there were huge piles everywhere. I stepped in one in the dark one evening and was furious. Our sheets and towels had holes, breakfast was very limited, and the pool and bar staff were extremely rude. You have to wear a swimming hat, or buy one of theirs, and children aren't allowed to jump into the pool. At weekends, hotel guests seemed to come second to locals, who had all the sunbeds booked out. We were given an old one and put behind the showers. On four of the six nights we stayed, private parties played loud music past 1 a.m. It didn't feel welcoming at all.
