Kristiania Family Hotel

A simple, nice place, and we had a very good stay.

Very nice place, with really good food. Pets are allowed.

The staff were extremely helpful, and my room was fairly clean. Food was good and plentiful. Some friends even went back for seconds or had three courses. After a busy day, the heated pool was relaxing and pleasant. I stayed for three days. The room itself was a little small, but that wasn't a big deal. The bathroom and room had a lot of problems. On the first day the shower only ran cold, and barely any water came from the sink tap, so even rinsing my hands was hard. There was nowhere to put soap or towels. The toilet barely flushed, and there were feces and tissues left in the bathroom from the day before. The bathroom ventilation didn't work either. I couldn't work out the heaters, since they switched on and changed temperature by themselves. Luckily they didn't actually work, otherwise that would've been a problem. The magnetic card door often took more than three tries to open. Many rooms had no balcony, and our small window wouldn't stay open, so we couldn't air out the room or dry clothes. The door also closed on its own, and there was no sign asking staff not to enter. I found the cleaning ladies in my room while I was doing my business. One of them had taken the key I'd put in to turn on the light, and they'd moved my suitcase to block the door after opening it for reasons I don't know. I also had no internet anywhere in my room, even though I had 4G on the ski slope.

The view from my quadruple room was fantastic, looking straight out at the mountains. The hotel is lovely and just steps from the slopes. Giuseppe, the maître d', was especially attentive and respectful, and everyone on staff was friendly, welcoming, and ready to help guests. I’ll definitely come back.
