Hotel Glis

There’s free parking both in front of and behind the hotel, so it’s a great choice if you’re arriving by car. The area is quiet and safe, though the hotel is 7 km from the city center in the industrial part of town. My room was spacious, with a large, very comfortable bed, plus a kettle, small fridge, and small safe. Everything was clean and well kept, and the staff were kind and friendly. You can pay for the buffet breakfast at reception when you check out. I really recommend this hotel. Grazie!

I booked a room in October for May, one night for two people with breakfast, at €70. Six months later, they canceled my booking because I wouldn’t pay €350, five times the original price. They said the price had been an error. I can understand a mistake being caught after a few days, but not after six months. For an Italian 3-star hotel, €70 seemed like a very reasonable price. Be careful if you don’t want the same thing to happen to you.

The bedding was clean and smelled really nice, and the service was okay. It’s a very basic place with a satisfactory breakfast. We stayed over the weekend, and I was surprised they thought it was a good idea to start construction in a few rooms on our floor early in the morning while some of us were still trying to sleep.

The rooms are large and the hotel is modern, but there was blood on the underside of the duvet. Thankfully, the air conditioning wasn’t very effective, so we were taking the duvet off anyway. We were told the restaurant was closed that day and couldn’t be used. The young man who spoke to us wasn’t helpful and didn’t say where we could get food nearby.
