It wasn't what I expected from the photos.

San Miniato makes a great base for scenic drives around Tuscany, and many local attractions are within easy walking distance. The apartment was behind old walls, very comfortable, clean, tidy, and well air-conditioned. It had everything we needed. The only downside was that parking was a bit of a walk away.

We stayed in a charming apartment in a lively little village. Its location was great for trips to Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, Siena, and plenty of other places.

With no elevator, getting luggage upstairs is very difficult if you have a lot of it.
