Fattoria Rovello

This is a wonderfully quiet place for families, tucked away from the busy village. The real treat is that it’s a working farm, with well-cared-for animals all around: bunnies, horses, ponies, donkeys, pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, and even a real wolf. Watching the staff tend to them each morning was a delight, especially for the children. After winding along Italy’s mountain roads for 4.5 hours, arriving felt like coming home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with air conditioning, an en suite bathroom, a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary water, and a cozy covered veranda. Everything was tidy and thoughtfully arranged, and there’s lots of outdoor space to relax. Add tasty local food, excellent homemade pizza, and warm hospitality, and it’s a place I’d be glad to return to.
