Corte Di Gallura

We stayed five days at Residence Corte di Gallura. The apartments are spacious, well maintained, and beautiful to look at, making them a good fit for a relaxed self-catering holiday. The location is also strategic, just a short drive from San Teodoro and the area's nicest beaches, so day trips are easy. But the extras and service let the stay down. The final cleaning fee was quite high, yet there was no amenity kit. On arrival we had no toilet paper, hairdryer, cleaning products, or trash bags, just towels and basic cooking utensils. The TV was there but didn't work, which added to the feeling that management wasn't paying attention to guests' needs. For the price of cleaning and this kind of property, we expected a few basic services and a more thoughtful welcome. The apartments and location are lovely, but the missing essentials, poor service, and unjustified extra costs affected the experience. A little more care would have made the stay much more satisfying.

The buildings and interiors are beautiful and well kept, and prices are below the Budoni average. But the place is a bit outside town and the beaches, so having a car is inconvenient. The mattress was too thin and uncomfortable, there was no light over the gas stove, and the shower had nowhere to put shower gel. In general it's good, but they lose points on these little details. I'd suggest paying more attention to them.

The staff were available whenever we needed help. The apartment was spacious and well maintained, both for cleanliness and amenities. It’s in a quiet area, just a few minutes’ drive from the sea.

The location is excellent, but watch out for insects and animals outside. Every room has windows, though none have mosquito nets, so flies, crickets, and geckos got into the house. Best to keep everything shut. You also need to buy more recycling bags after using the ones provided on arrival. The €200 deposit has to be paid in cash, and the kitchenette must be cleaned before checkout.
