Tenuta Capitolini

The forest setting around Tenuta Capitolini was a highlight for us. Those wild, enchanting woods felt peaceful and restorative, with a special Umbrian character. Inside, the accommodation had far more than we expected, and the thoughtful details made it feel generous and comfortable. Monica made us feel like friends in her home from the start. She was kind, easy to reach, and ready to help with practical questions, recommendations, or just a friendly chat. It was one of the most welcoming and hospitable Airbnbs I’ve stayed in, and the whole visit was memorable.

Our family of four stayed in the Aqua apartment in summer 2021, with a little garden and terrace of our own. It was spotless, spacious, and had a really sweet kitchen. From the windows and garden, we could see the countryside and the pool, which was always clean. There were also several lovely places to lounge in the garden. Monica is so kind and thoughtful with her guests, and goes out of her way to help. This place felt like a little piece of heaven. We’d recommend it to everyone, even though part of us wants to keep it to ourselves. Hope to see you again, Monica. Love from Denmark.

The view outside made us stop and take it all in. There was everything we needed outdoors, whether we wanted to cook, swim, or relax on the swing. We only wish we could have stayed longer in this comfortable, modern, well-kept home. Inside, it was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. Monica had left a generous basket with treats, information, and a homemade pastry, plus a few basics in the fridge for our first days. The suite was fully equipped, with a comfortable bed, a roomy bathroom and shower, and plenty of towels and soap. Monica was thoughtful and kind throughout, replied quickly, and patiently helped my husband practice his intermediate Italian. We’d make a point of coming back to Tenuta Capitolini.

Umbria was easy to explore from Tenuta Capitolini. We went to Assisi, Orvieto, Spello, the Marmore waterfall, lake Tresimeno, and a few other places. There are plenty of wineries nearby, and supermarkets are about a 10 minute drive away. Our Aqua apartment was spotless. The kitchen is small but has everything, and we got good use out of the barbecue. The kids loved the swimming pool, and the whole place is beautiful. Monica was lovely and helpful, answered our questions right away, and had good suggestions. I’d definitely recommend a stay here and hope I can return.
