It’s an old building, but gorgeous and well maintained. The rooms were always clean, everything worked perfectly, and the location was ideal and quiet. The family who own the hotel put a lot of effort into good service. Breakfast and the restaurant are very good for the price, and they know the town and surrounding area really well.

The room was clean, and breakfast was good. The shower setup was a little odd. We stayed for just one night before setting off on a hike in the area, and the hotel worked well for that.

We visited in the off season, and the hotel seemed almost empty, which gave the place a bit of a “The Shining” vibe. That didn’t spoil our stay, though. It looked old, but it was clean, and the staff were friendly and efficient.
