Amaryllis Hotel

Breakfast was the last straw: cold, hard croissants that seemed frozen, along with tarts and cakes that had the same stale, frozen quality. The cappuccinos and coffees tasted diluted. The staff's rudeness made it worse, as they seemed irritated to have customers there at all. We had booked a triple room but were first shown a double. After waiting, the hotel's proposed fix was to squeeze in a third bed. The welcome itself was dismal, with the woman showing us around seeming as enthusiastic as someone returning from a funeral. Cleanliness was another problem. Towels left on the floor were folded and put back as if clean, and there was no toilet paper, even after we asked. The tissues they provided felt like sandpaper. Amaryllis Hotel disappointed us despite our expectations already being very low, and fell far below basic standards.

I had a lovely stay in early July. The room felt cozy and was clean, breakfast was generous, and the staff were very friendly. The sea is close, and San Vito's center is only about a five-minute walk away.

The place itself is nice, but the welcome from the staff wasn't. The rooms are basic, and the cleaning could be much better. Towels tossed on the floor were reused instead of changed. Also, if you ask for another coffee, the owner asks you to pay for it without having told you beforehand.

Poor value for the money, with a modest place and a breakfast that was limited and not international. The staff were rude and made us feel unwelcome. Reusing dirty towels was the last straw for me. And be careful about ordering an extra coffee: the owner, "miss smile," wanted us to pay extra without telling us in advance.
