Villa Rambaudi

A nice break from the city's everyday chaos, and a good alternative to Turin. The villa is in excellent shape, spotlessly clean, and has everything you need, plus a bit more. The beds creak a little, though they're still very comfortable. With a place styled after the 18th century, you can't really expect modern beds.

Dinner on the terrace was a real pleasure. It's a splendid spot, with careful attention to detail. The dishes were excellent, original, refined, and beautifully presented, and the table service was impeccable, professional, attentive, and consistently courteous. We'd happily come back.

Greta was so welcoming and helpful, and guided us through everything. We had a wonderful time celebrating our little girl Ginevra's baptism, and left very happy and satisfied. Thank you so much for everything ❤️

Breakfast was decent, and the service courteous, in the true Piedmontese style. The villa itself feels dark and melancholy, as Savoy villas often do, with period furnishings, piles of trinkets, clocks frozen in the good old days, faded old photos, Umberto and Maria José. A feast for nostalgic people. More practically, the electrical system needs an overhaul, the bedroom balcony doors are barred, the carpets are worn, and, to my horror, there's no bidet in the bathroom. No complaints, of course. But the reference to the Fine Arts seems at least a little disproportionate when the room doesn't even have a light switch or a humble bidet.
