Hotel Svizzero

This place feels stuck in the 1980s. The building is from that decade and near the sea, but the furnishings are dated and the shutters are so hard to open they need replacing. The pool area isn't well equipped, and there's no internet. Parking is poorly guarded: anyone can drive in at night, so guests might not find a space. The food was poor quality, with cheap frozen chips, frozen supermarket fish, and nothing fresh. The room wasn't cleaned properly either. The sheets were poor quality, and the small towels could barely dry you, probably because they were old. There are two bars, but both were closed, so they couldn't serve anything from aperitifs to after dinner cocktails. Outside my window was an open air garbage dump. They could have cleaned up their area, knowing the room was going to be occupied. Across the road there's a famous nightclub, always full of people, and the music goes on until 6:00 AM. If that would bother you, this isn't a good place to stay. What a shame. The building is here, and with renovation and owners who were up to speed, it could be a wonderful place.

Christian and his sisters run this peaceful place with care, and I felt very welcome and well looked after. The food was delicious, especially the Spaghetti allo Scoglio à la Christian, which is legendary. The beach is 7 minutes away. Pure relaxation, and I'll be back! 😎

The food was delicious, and we had great company at Hotel Svizzero in Sangineto Lido. Service and location were excellent, and the owners are truly special. They made us feel right at home. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality. See you soon.

We spent a fantastic 9 days here. The staff were extremely friendly, the service was excellent, and the clean, comfortable rooms had good air conditioning. Breakfast was basic but good. If we come back to Sangineto, Hotel Svizzero will be our first choice. Highly recommended!
