Tenuta Espada Luxury Apartments

The restaurant was a real culinary treat, and the staff were polite, professional, and always ready to help. We were very happy with our stay at this lovely estate. There’s lots of well-kept space and greenery, giving it a calm, relaxing feel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the beautiful pool was perfect for cooling off and soaking up the sun. We’ll definitely be back!

Once you’re through the gate, the complex is a lovely green oasis. Someone was there to welcome us when we arrived later than planned, which was a great start. But when we looked around properly, we found a lot of problems. The shower door wouldn’t close right, or sometimes wouldn’t close at all, and there was plenty of mold along the bottom of the walls. The bathroom sink barely drained, we had to pull out clumps of hair, and the plug wouldn’t close properly. There were cobwebs and a buildup of dirt and debris between the windows and mosquito screens, and the electric hob in the kitchenette was badly rusted. We could have told Carolina, but we wanted to be left alone on vacation. We’d also chosen half-board and were surprised by how repetitive the menus were. We knew pasta was the place’s specialty, but there were no vegetables, fruit, or cheese, even though we had asked for vegetables. Breakfast was very basic too. The staff are welcoming and smiley, but didn’t pay enough attention to our requests, perhaps because communication was difficult despite everyone trying their best.

The food was tasty, generous, and looked just like the pictures. Service was quick, and the wait staff were friendly and courteous. The place is beautiful and well kept, and the prices felt reasonable for the quality. I’m very satisfied and will be back when I’m in the area. The owners are super friendly too.

We only stayed one night at Tenuta Espada, but Francesco kindly let us use the pool the next morning after checkout, so we could enjoy the day a little longer. We found the property by chance on Booking.com, and he greeted us warmly and made us feel at home right away. The grounds are green and well looked after, with spacious areas to relax. Our clean, roomy bedroom had a lovely lounge area by the entrance. We had dinner on site and really enjoyed the food. Highly recommended!
