We got married at la Cala dei Balcani and booked the hotel for our family and friends, who came from all over. I'm French, my wife is Italian, and we live in Dublin. Before booking, I was worried about the language barrier, but the hotel handled it very well. Some guests traveled alone and others came with kids, and everyone felt comfortable. The rooms were very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool was a great option when people were too tired for the beach. It was my brother's birthday, and they managed to find a big cake for all 40 of us. The service was amazing. We had a great time and will plan to come back one day.

The pool was fantastic, and the hotel's cuisine was top-notch. We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The hotel is a little dated, but kept immaculately, and the staff are exceptionally kind. I've never found a place with such a great quality-price ratio. For what they offer, it's unbeatable!

Breakfast was acceptable for selection and variety, but hygiene was unacceptable: the cups, cutlery, and tablecloths weren't clean. I also found the price very high for what was offered. I stayed 2 nights, and the pool was the highlight, clean, spacious, and beautiful, with very helpful, friendly staff. The room was quite large, but it was on the lower ground floor even though I'd asked not to be put below ground because of my children's allergies. There were unpleasant smells from humidity and mold trapped in the double plasterboard walls. The lady at reception was very kind, but even she took the time to say, "I don't see what the problem is!?"
