Sempreverde Atelier B&B

It felt comfortable and homey, while still having plenty of character and thoughtful details. So many distinctive touches must have taken passionate people a lot of hands-on work to bring together. A refreshing change from the factory-like, characterless buildings you see in so many modern places. The owners are genuine, professional people running an honest business. Looking forward to coming back.

The breakfast alone was terrific: fresh fruit, cheeses, salami, bread, eggs if you want them, plus coffee and juice, all served on the roof terrace. The hosts are great and both speak good English. It’s also very close to the promenade, where Montalbano's house and restaurant are. In my experience this is much more than an ordinary B&B, with a nice double bed and bathroom, use of the room whenever you need it, and a large rooftop terrace. I can’t recommend it enough.

We came for an MTB holiday and had a great stay. The owners are really nice, the rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Thanks, we’ll definitely be back.

The beach is only meters away, with great restaurants right nearby, and Lichia helped us plan our time in Ragusa with lots of good ideas for the area. Lichia and Pepe made us feel a warmth we hadn’t experienced before, and we got a taste of Italian culture through them and their mothers’ cooking at breakfast. Marisa and I appreciated this stay more than any other on our three-week trip through the south of France, sicily, Prague, and Budapest. The place is full of care, from the flowery scents and wooden floors to the pebble sinks, stone showers, and unbelievable roof deck where breakfast was served. It felt like a 5-star hotel, and Lichia and Pepe have perfected what a B&B should be. We hope to see you in NY or Italy someday. Wish I’d taken more photos!
