Il Leccio - Luxury Resort Portofino Monte

The setting is hard to beat. From the pool and breakfast area, there's a beautiful view, and although the road up is narrow and steep, the trip is worth it. We booked the smallest room at the last minute, with just a bed and small bathroom, but that was enough since we biked around the area and spent most of our time at the pool. The little terrace looked out over olive trees, with the occasional visit from the highland cattle, as well as part of the sea and city. It was peaceful and relaxing, and the whole hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable. The restaurant was great, and the delicious breakfast was à la carte. That view is hard to beat. You get a peaceful, private stay away from the crowds along the coast, and we often had the pool to ourselves. The quiet here is invaluable. Having a charging outlet for electric vehicles was a big plus and gave us peace of mind. Most of all, a huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Il Leccio: Luca, Dea, Angelica, Monica, and the night porter, whose name we unfortunately didn't get. Their excellent service came with helpful recommendations and plenty of attention, and they made our stay in Italy unforgettable. Grazie Mille, we'll definitely be back. Andreas & Emma.

The view over the whole bay and Santa margarita was incredible, and we left feeling recharged. Our rooms were comfortable, and the chef's vegan food was delicious. Luca gave us exceptional service, and the hotel also runs a free shuttle into town, handy for visiting different coastal spots. We were incredibly glad we found this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The only issue was that the wifi in our room kept cutting in and out. Everything else was perfect!

The staff were consistently thoughtful and attentive, making sure we had what we needed and helping us feel cared for throughout our stay. We loved the setting, with beautiful nature all around, and the pool was just the right temperature even in May. The staff were lovely, the restaurant food was delicious, and the hotel has a wonderful view. A real little gem.
