Villa Rinascimenmto

We only booked one night before heading to Lucca city centre, and I wish we'd stayed longer. The pasta we had for dinner was amazing, and the sunset from our table was gorgeous. The woman who checked us in on Saturday September 30, 2023 was so warm and helpful, then served us dinner after we'd spent the day relaxing by the pool. She was kind and clearly working hard all day. The pool area was clean and lovely, and the staff were friendly throughout. The accommodation was the most beautiful we've ever stayed in. The photos really don't do it justice, it's stunning. Next time we'll extend our stay at this little piece of Tuscan heaven.

The breakfast buffet was generous and very good, though the espresso wasn't anything special. The tents used for breakfast and dinner felt out of place for somewhere like this. It would also be nice to get drinks by the pool without having to go back to the villa. The setting is beautiful and quiet, among the Pisan mountains and Lucca hills, with a lovely pool and an amazing villa loggia. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and had a nice view, and the bathroom was new and pleasant. The bed wasn't great, the fridge was noisy, and the wall colors could use reconsidering. The high-season nightly rate was steep, and at that price I expected more luxury.

The stay was a bit expensive, especially with no electricity or AC during our one night there. It was raining and thundering, and there were no umbrellas for the walk from the annex to breakfast. The kitchen had no utensils, and the shower ran very slowly with cold water. Check video. The place itself was alright, with a pool. The staff were kind, the bed was nice, and breakfast was good.

We had a comfortable quadruple room, and the beds worked well for us. The hotel sits in lovely, peaceful grounds with a great pool. The restaurant was closed while we were there, but there was a good pizzeria within walking distance. Handy for Pisa and Lucca.
