Il Fico Bed & Breakfast

The room and bathroom were clean, and the room had air conditioning. We liked the furnishings, and the owner lent us a beach umbrella. Breakfast in the inner garden was lovely. There’s also a small terrace with a sea view, though the view includes a jumble of nearby rooftops and buildings. Our two issues were that the attic room’s roof windows weren’t shaded well, so sunrise woke us up, and the Wi-Fi didn’t reach the top floor room.

We felt at home at B&B IL FiCO, just a short walk from the beach. Augusto and Beatrice served an excellent breakfast each morning and gave us useful ideas for how to spend the day. They also welcomed our four-legged friends with a lovely kit, including potty bags. Highly recommended.

Breakfast at Il Fico was a treat, with traditional Sicilian products and thoughtful vegetarian and vegan choices. The whole stay felt like stepping into a calm, beautiful world where courtesy and relaxation came naturally. We didn’t want to leave. It felt like paradise, and we’ll definitely return. If you’re near Taormina, don’t miss it.

I booked at 8 PM and didn’t get there until almost 11, but they were incredibly helpful at such short notice. The room was simple, clean, and had what we needed. We could bring our dog, too. The beach was wonderful, just across the street and a few steps away.
