La Casa del Melograno

The good location doesn’t make up for service and housekeeping that need a lot of improvement at this price. The host seems to be coasting. The place could feel much more welcoming. I’d only suggest it if you really can’t find another option, especially in summer.

We had to change our arrival time at the last minute, and the friendly staff had no problem with it. The property has free parking, daily housekeeping, and a nice pool below the house.

We had a very relaxing stay, with a spectacular view of the sea and a pool. The most beautiful villages on Etna are just a short walk away. The owners were wonderful and helpful, and the whole experience was excellent.

The terrace faces the sea and has a clean, comfortable pool, sun loungers, and tables. The rooms are cleaned daily, and we liked the recently renovated room and bathroom, with their mix of antique and modern furniture. The mattress was comfortable and the air conditioning was well placed. We stayed in “Zaffiro,” one of the rooms with its own charming name. Parking is spacious, in a green area, and easy to use for getting into town, with automatic gates. The location worked well for Mount Etna and other towns like Taormina and Catania. We skipped breakfast. The hostess suggested some very good local restaurants, including the pizzeria “Antica Pizzeria Napoletana,” where the pizza was high quality and affordable. The one drawback was soundproofing from the next room. We could clearly hear what they were watching on TV, though it didn’t interfere with our rest.
