Hotel Leon D'Oro

I only grabbed a quick coffee, so I can't really judge the food or service. The atmosphere, though, felt depressing and run down. There were rows of scratch-off tickets behind the counter, boxes spread around tables and chairs, and lots of slot machines. The Leon d'Oro I remember seems like only a distant memory now.

The ice cream was a little expensive, though at least it tasted good. The owner was rude: I politely asked him to make me cones, but he refused and mocked me in front of everyone, telling me to guess the prices. I don't recommend it.

The prices are high enough that you'd expect a red carpet at the door. Instead, the welcome was incredibly unfriendly. If someone wants to try this bar, they should have a quick drink and leave before the treatment gets any worse. Strongly not recommended.

We got an espresso, a cappuccino, a large ice cream, and water for 7 euros. My Italian was broken, but they were very sincere and helpful, so thanks. The price wasn't too high. I'd recommend it for a quick stop by the sea. We didn't eat anything.
