B&B Le Coccinelle

We were five people, including one disabled guest, so the owner put us in a room with direct outside access. It had old furniture and beds with no headboards. The bathroom was inside the room and wasn't accessible. Whenever anyone turned on the water, the autoclave made a deafening noise that woke us at any hour. The heating situation was even more troubling. The owner left a completely rusty electric heater that looked 15-20 years old, and told us not to use it at the same time as the water heater to avoid high energy use. In the middle of the night the meter tripped. The owner then argued with us heatedly over the phone, blaming us and the guests in the other rooms for turning on all the heating. The explanation was that she didn't want to raise the meter's wattage because she wanted to save on bills. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless these problems are fixed, since they don't make for a pleasant stay in Santo Stefano di Camastra.

The building is old and has very little comfort or technology, and there's no Wi-Fi. The air conditioning is noisy, though the room is large. The host's parents were very nice, but the host never showed up. The fridge is outside the room, with numbered sheets to tell which compartment belongs to which room.

We found it very clean and comfortable, and the lady was so kind to my sister and me. I'd recommend it if you want to enjoy the coast, and there are some amazing ceramics in town too.

Simple and unpretentious, but the location is perfect for arriving by car and heading into the historic center.
