La Torre Ai Mari

The owner told us about the history of the hotel and the area, then called a local restaurant to check they had room for dinner. That kind of thoughtfulness, along with the friendly and helpful staff, made this an especially comfortable stay. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m nearby. The room was spacious, and its bathroom was larger than those in any of the other hotels we’ve stayed at in Italy. We appreciated all the little touches, like the bathtub, shower curtain and divider to keep water in, several towel racks, and a handy stool. The place is spotless and comfortable, with a terrace and lovely views, a pool, and other excellent amenities. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made each day.

What made our time at Torre ai Mari special was the host. He was incredibly friendly and took time to make us feel at home, sharing good restaurant tips and pointing us toward hidden local spots. Even at the cozy bar, he’d chat with us until midnight while serving wine or mixed drinks, always polite and never pushy. The setting is beautiful for visiting Montepulciano, Val d’Orcia, Pienza, and Orvieto. Driving up to the Torre was already a treat, and the building looks like it belongs in a movie. Our room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was just right. Be sure to try the home-baked cakes.

Rinaldo was great behind the bar, and he also gave us helpful ideas for dinners and places to visit. We loved our comfortable room and the delicious breakfast, especially the freshly baked treats. We’re planning to return to this area and will definitely stay here again. La Torre ai Mari is a B&B in the beautiful Tuscan hills, close to Sarteano. We really enjoyed our recent visit.

The hosts were a real plus, always available to help with things like restaurant bookings and itineraries, and the price was competitive. The property is lovely and well cared for, with a big pool, woods alongside it, and views across the Sarteano hills. We spent a weekend there in mid-July with a friend. Our room was well insulated, though the bathroom was a little small. A great choice for a short break, and it would be well worth staying longer too.
