La Taverna Del Gufo

The rooms and the place are kept in meticulous shape, and we had a truly wonderful stay. Maria and Gonario are lovely people who made us feel at home with their warm, family welcome. It reminds me again that we Sardinians are unique.

Sarule isn’t a tourist attraction, but its location is strategic, with everything and more within a hundred kilometers. Taverna del gufo, run by Gonario and Maria, is a gem for its family atmosphere, friendliness, and hospitality. Maria is an erupting volcano who tries to meet every request, making customers feel like guests. Gonario, the boss, is always ready with advice, just like his sister Maria.

Breakfast was generous, with the table loaded with biscuits, pastries, all kinds and brands of snacks, milk, coffee, tea, fruit juice, water, jams, and much more. The triple room had a double bed and a single, and was clean, quiet, fragrant, and well kept. It also had its own private bathroom, super sanitized and clean. The owners welcomed us with homemade cakes and local products, then chatted with us and showed us around. Their kindness and helpfulness, along with the services, made the stay wonderful. The location is strategic and easy to reach, and when we checked out the owner gave us a really warm send-off. I highly recommend it. If I come back for work or pleasure, I know where I’ll stay. Truly an exceptional price.
