I can’t give a positive review of this meal. I didn’t stay at the property, just came for dinner after seeing the good reviews. We were looking for somewhere surrounded by nature with authentic food, so the fairly bare veranda dining room seemed fine. But when we were shown our reserved table, some of the set menu appetizers were already sitting out on it for the whole restaurant to see. We didn’t like that. We’d expect to be welcomed, shown to the table, offered drinks, and then told what would be served. The appetizers were good and plentiful, with cured meats, cheeses, bruschetta, onions, olives, and more. The ravioli were clearly fresh pasta, but undercooked, and the sauce was thin, raw, and watery. For the main courses we ordered mixed tagliata and porceddu. The porceddu portion was tiny. When we asked the owner for another piece, she said the meat would be behind the rib eye. We were glad we’d accepted the mini portion, because later we realized, to our disappointment, that the porceddu seemed to be a reheated portion from at least the day before. The potatoes and mixed vegetables on the side also tasted like reheated leftovers. The ricotta dessert was obviously old and shriveled, as if it had been sitting around for a couple of days. The other dishes seemed that way too. We paid 80 euros for the two menus, without a receipt.

We ate at the Ristorante. The waitress and owner were kind. It’s a fixed menu for 40 euros, whatever you choose to eat. The antipasto had excellent homemade cold cuts, cheese, eggplant, and artichokes, but it was all very salty. There were two good first courses, ravioli and gnochetti, then grilled pork with baked potatoes and eggplant. The potatoes were salty too. Fruit, wine, and mirto came with the meal. Everything tasted good, just a shame about all the salt. Go back hungry, though!

We only had one night here in July 2021, and we really enjoyed it. The owner speaks German and was very accommodating. My children had fun playing with the other kids, and they, along with us, loved seeing all the young dogs. The room was nice, the four-course dinner we ordered was delicious and very generous, and the price was reasonable. Highly recommended.

This was such a lovely stay. If you work hard and enjoy nature and good food, I’d really recommend it. The owners are helpful and make you feel at home. We had an excellent traditional Sardinian dinner with good quality ingredients. There’s lots of room for kids to play, and we loved watching ours run around in the grass with the owners’ children for company. We’re from the city, so that was a treat. We brought our dog, and it was fine to leave him alone in the air-conditioned room for half the day while we went to La Pelosa beach, about 10 km away, since dogs aren’t welcome there. Alghero is about 30 minutes away, with quiet roads making it easy to get around. We’ll definitely return. We’ve usually stayed in more attractive places, but a farmhouse has its own charm and really captures the feeling of a lovely country estate. Five stars for cleanliness, food, views, friendly management, price, location, and everything else I mentioned.
