Sassari Hotel Il Vialetto

We had a very spacious, well-kept room with a large bathroom, double basins, and a view over the industrial area. Staff were polite and efficient, and dinner was good value. The location suits a business hotel more than tourists. Parking meant using a dangerous two-way ramp, the common areas weren't very clean, and only one elevator was working during our visit. The other badly needed an update. Breakfast was barely acceptable. For a short stay or a business trip, it's good value.

Getting into the center takes a bit of effort: the bus isn't very frequent, or you can walk for about 20 minutes. Still, the room was huge and lovely, and the staff were really nice. Breakfast was included, with a big buffet and lots to choose from. I'd recommend it.

The industrial surroundings and the building's past as a congress hotel might put people off, but inside it was quite good. Our room was modern, clean, and very spacious, and breakfast had plenty of choice. Everyone we dealt with, from reception to breakfast and housekeeping, was friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

The staff were helpful and nice, and the rooms are enormous. You can tell someone made an effort here at some point, but the building hasn't been kept up: there was unrepaired damage in the room, bathroom, and terrace. There's not really anything to see nearby, and it was a little noisy. The old windows didn't keep the sound out. Fine for a very short stay if you can't find a better, more expensive option.
