Rifugio La Sciverna

Mr. Michele was extremely helpful whenever a problem or unexpected issue came up. We spent three days at the refuge, where the two houses sit in nature but are only a five-minute walk from the bus stop. The facility is spacious, clean, and welcoming. We highly recommend it.

We were 24 young people staying the night of October 31st, and there was more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable. Michele greeted us kindly when we arrived and showed us everything we needed. The owner was super available in case anything came up. We had an excellent time and will definitely be back!

The rooms inside are beautiful and tidy, with compact but very functional, well-equipped spaces. There are two fire pits, one for grilling and one for a regular fire, plus a small room with a projector. The place is run, I think on behalf of the municipality, by three kind and very helpful people: Mchele, Alessandra and Andrea. Michele showed us around and makes sure everything is cleaned between groups, while also telling guests about local rules. They take groups of all sizes, from families of three or four to scout groups of 30. It’s a wonderful green setting, with a very large but steep lawn. In the summer sun, shade can be an issue. There’s a tarp structure on the lawn, and tables, a hammock, and the parking area near the house are shaded, but the playing lawn is fully exposed.

Alessandra and Michele really made us feel at home at lunch and dinner. The quiet setting isn’t far from town, and it suited our kids perfectly for a few days away from technology and social media. We stayed at the Rifugio for the 2011 and 2012 Arenzano FC training camp at the beginning of September 2025, and the atmosphere and hospitality brought back the feel of summer camps from years ago.
