The hotel has plenty of great restaurants and bars right on its doorstep. It’s newly refurbished, so everything felt clean and fresh, and the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Our bedroom was a good size, with a great bathroom and hot water, which is always welcome after skiing. The views were great and breakfast had a good selection. We also used the onsite spa, which was nice, though it cost an extra 15 euros per person. We had a great week skiing in Sauze D'oulx. The hotel is next to clotes lift, making it easy to get on and off the slopes. All in all, excellent.

The staff made this week away for us. They spoke English really well and were always ready to help. Lift is a clean, modern hotel with a recent refurbishment, plus a spa, sauna, jacuzzi and a very good breakfast buffet. It’s also just a short walk to both the ski lift and the village. I’d happily recommend it to singles, couples and families, 10/10.

The lifts are about a minute away, so getting out to ski is easy, and the sauna and hot tub are lovely to come back to afterward. The hotel has beautiful rooms and a really nice feel to it. The staff were incredible, especially manager Francesco, who went out of his way for guests. Can’t recommend this place enough, it’s a perfect ski hotel xxx

We had blue-sky days all week, but there wasn’t much snow, so the number of runs was limited. Most of them were reds, with very few blues, and the resort’s old lift system is a drawback. There are only three chairlifts, though once you’re out on them the area opens up a bit. We still had a great time in Italy. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good and nothing seemed like too much trouble. It’s better value than Austria, with just as much heart and soul, and the food was better than in France. BA’s link to Turin and the short transfer are handy too. There aren’t enough toilets, and the resort isn’t snow-sure. I’d come back to Italy for skiing, though maybe try Sestriere next time, since the skiing there is better and it’s close by.

The breakfast has a good range, including cereal, cheese, ham, pastries, spreads, bread, yoghurt, pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon, along with tea, coffee, juice and water. It runs from 7:30 to 10:30, but get there early, as the food isn’t replenished toward the end. We used the bar too, where prices were decent and similar to the rest of the resort. Staff were friendly and helpful, and any snagging issues from the refurbishment were dealt with straight away. There is some noise from the stairwells and ground floor, but it didn’t bother us. Our standard double room had a balcony, kettle, fridge and open wardrobe. The new hairdryer worked perfectly, and the bed was very comfortable, with two memory-foam pillows each. The room temperature was set to 20-22 degrees every day. There’s heated ski storage, and the Clotes lift is a 3-5 minute walk downhill and then up some stairs. Beginners may find that lift unsuitable because the run down can get hectic. We had a lovely stay for skiing in Dolomites.
