The dinners had that lovely home-cooked Italian feel, and breakfast came with loads of choice. After skiing, we’d hang out by the bar playing board games and chatting with other guests. The whole place felt warm and comfortable from the start. Everyone, from the owners to the waiters and bar staff, was cheerful and kind. Coming back tired from the slopes to such a friendly welcome really lifted our spirits. We’ve stayed in plenty of hotels on ski trips, but we’d absolutely choose this one again when we’re back in Sauze. Thanks for making the trip so memorable! 🙏

We came for winter walks and found some nice routes, though they were all hilly. There are transport connections to claviere, bardinechia and sestriere, but Sauze d'oulx has no cable cars. The hotel itself is nice, with friendly staff and lots of food choices. Just be ready for the steep hill.

The rooms were clean, warm and cosy, though a bit dated. It’s right at the top of a hill, which was fine for us. Plenty of food, good beer and really nice staff. I’d happily come back.

We stayed at Hotel Splendid twice during winter 24/25. The staff are what make it, especially Alex, Simone and Florian. They’re so friendly and always looking after you. There’s a short hill between the hotel and town, about a five minute walk. Once you’ve got your gear, there’s a shortcut across the way that gets you to the slopes in a couple of minutes. The food has lots of options, and the spa is a great extra after skiing.

The team here are remarkably organised and go a long way to look after their guests. I’m away from home about half the year and usually stay in Hilton’s or similar, but I’ve rarely been this impressed by the service. It’s quite high up, though there’s a good route to the ski lift, leaving the hotel only about a three minute walk from ski in ski out. The rooms are clean and have what you need. We found ours a bit too warm, but we like it cool. Turning off the radiators and opening the windows for a while sorted it.
