We stopped for lunch on a whim and had a delicious meal. The hosts were very nice and friendly, and the open kitchen was lovely, you could watch the chefs working. It may cost a few euros more than elsewhere, but it’s worth it.

The central location and cleanliness were the only real positives. For the price, it’s poor value, especially since breakfast isn’t included. The staff were friendly, and we had a good stay because the place itself is worth visiting, but there’s plenty to improve. The parking is a long way from the hotel and unpaved, so your car could end up in mud when it rains. There’s no elevator, and the bathroom has a bathtub instead of a shower, which is awkward, particularly for older people.

There was no one at the front desk whenever needed, and breakfast wasn’t included despite the attached restaurant and pastry shop. The price was exorbitant. The hotel feels stuck in the 1950s, with rooms overlooking the square and old windows that barely insulate against the noise. Getting any sleep seems impossible.

Everything was very clean, in the rooms and shared spaces alike, and the central location puts the square just downstairs. The hotel parking is about 800 meters away. Still, I wouldn’t recommend it for the price or, especially, for the late-night noise outside. If you need rest, ask for a room at the back. We stayed two nights, and that was plenty. At check-in, reception insisted we pay in advance, which I’d never experienced before. I understood why once I saw that our only window faced the main busy street. The pedestrian zone ran from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, then again from 9:30 PM until midnight. There was lots of nightlife in front of the hotel, with young people leaving at 1:30 AM. The noise didn’t stop until 1:45 AM, so sleeping before then was impossible. I think this level of noise may only happen in summer. Had we not prepaid, we would have left after the first night. The first night was also rough because the mattress had a hole in the middle. I mentioned it the next morning, and they said they’d change it. Whether they changed it or just moved it, the replacement was a little better than the first one. There was no breakfast offered, though I highly recommend the bar next door, which also belonged to the hotel. It certainly wasn’t cheap. The room was small and could use renovation. The bathroom had a tub and 1960s tiles. The big terrycloth towels were too rough, and the small cotton ones were too thin to dry well. I only saw reception staff on arrival and never again, so we left without saying goodbye. They’re busy with their bar in the mornings. A tip for the hotel: written notices look more elegant when placed on a glass case.

The rooms were spotless, tidy, and quite spacious, and although the bathrooms were small, they were modern and functional. The place is centrally located, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We had a great stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
