The pool closes at 6:30 PM, and that wasn’t mentioned when we booked. There were also lots of biting insects. The property itself is beautiful, with a pool and a stunning view. EDIT: I’ve changed my rating to one star after reading the host’s reply. The place is still beautiful and impressive, but I can’t recommend staying there because of the host. My review was honest, and the host’s response didn’t address what I wrote. It shifted the subject and made claims about me and my family that aren’t true. I don’t think anyone complained about us. We spent time talking with other guests, who joked about all the rules. Like us, they broke them by playing ball in the pool 😱😱😱 and jumping in 😱😱😱😱😱😱. We’re not ignorant or rude. We’re humble people who know how to appreciate what we have. Dear sir, you’re being manipulative when you tell people horseflies are an important part of the Maremma ecosystem. I’ve travelled to the Maremma and stayed at plenty of tenutas, agriturismos, poderes, campsites, and other places for over 20 years. I’ve never seen an insect plague like this anywhere else. Please don’t deflect from the problem. Deal with it, and people won’t complain. You live in a beautiful, sunny, green place with so much open space, yet you walk around looking like ........ ... and spend your time arguing online. It seems you don’t appreciate what you have. I don’t plan to write more or read your nuggets of wisdom on any platform. I wish you more relaxation, distance, and patience.

We loved the tent lodge and the beautiful farm. It’s very family friendly, the beds are super comfy, and it was nice to have the tent cleaned once during our stay. A couple of things could be better. There’s just one sharp knife in the kitchen, so preparing a meal together is difficult. Also, you have to take your rubbish to Polveraia. Anna told us to use the cemetery bins, which honestly felt a bit illegal 😃. Bins on site would have been much better.

We’d only just got back from two weeks at Podere Pratraccio and already miss it. Our family of four, with kids aged 12 and 8, stayed in a glamping tent and had a fantastic time. Everything was clean and cozy, and the pool was amazing, especially with that breathtaking view over the fields. Anna and Luca were great hosts. I especially recommend having dinner there, the food and service were spectacular. It’s a place for a relaxing holiday, so don’t expect poolside partying or internet in the tents. There are plenty of other ways to enjoy your time, and Wi-Fi is available in the shared areas. We feel lucky to have found this place. Thanks again for everything!

The hosts were unwelcoming and sometimes openly rude, which made our stay at Podere Prataccio disappointing. The property itself has potential, so that’s why I’ve given it two stars. Hospitality matters, and we felt it was sorely lacking here. We still had a great time exploring the region, with beautiful places and vineyards to visit and some amazing restaurants. A few details also weren’t made clear enough beforehand. The pool closes completely at 6:30 PM, which really limits evening use in summer. There’s no internet in the tents, neither Wi-Fi nor 4G, and the accommodation is smaller than described on the website.

Anna made lovely breakfast and dinner, and the service was great. We had a wonderful time. Thank you so much, Luca and Anna! 😊
