Set among Schenna's orchards and vineyards, this is a beautiful place to stay. The homemade products are excellent, especially the apple juice. There's also a bus stop only a few meters from the farm, making it easy to get to Schenna, Merano, and other places.

The owners are friendly and helpful, and the sunny garden and valley view are lovely. Girasole is a spacious, comfortable apartment. Guests can have a generous breakfast and farm-made jams, juices, wine, and milk. You can also see the cows if you ask.

Our stay in July 2021 was a real disappointment, and we wouldn't recommend this accommodation. The farm's location is superb, and the breakfast, the owner's super-friendly wife, and the setting were the best parts. We had been looking forward to staying at Krebishof, and the communication beforehand was very pleasant, which makes the whole experience a real shame. We booked four nights because the package sounded great for our young son, with animals and a pool, and for us, with a freshly renovated modern room. The booking emails advertised a newly renovated comfort double room. The website showed photos of a new modern room as well as some we felt looked dated. We assumed we'd booked the newer room, but were put in the old one instead. When we asked, they tried to present it as newly renovated. Other than an electric blind and the replacement of about half the bathroom, the old tiles, shower stall, toilet paper holder, and other fittings were still there. The room we'd expected was only available once and had already been booked. The online presentation also led us to expect more farm animals. In person, we saw caged chickens, rabbits, and one or two cows, which we could only just make out through the locked barn door. Things didn't start well and didn't end well either. Our son developed a fever, and we didn't want to spend days in a room where we didn't feel entirely comfortable. Even though the owners are parents themselves and surely understood the situation, they charged us for all the nights, minus breakfast. We found that very unpleasant. It was over 300 euros for one night including breakfast, and we don't know whether the room stayed empty for the remaining three nights or whether they charged someone else too. The owners do need to make money from guests, but they could have offered us a deal for another visit later. We've travelled extensively and even changed plans spontaneously in much poorer countries, but we've never had to pay in full for every night like this, though some people there certainly needed it more. We wouldn't actively recommend the place. If you want the beautiful modern room, confirm beforehand by checking the room photo so you know you'll actually get that one.

The hosts were wonderful, and the place was clean, welcoming, and had a spectacular view. Susana noticed on the ID card we used to register that my companion's birthday was the next day. In the morning she wished us a happy birthday and had set out a centerpiece with candles and a small bottle of prosecco. We were truly speechless. We'll definitely return. Thank you.
