Residence Apartment Nelkenstein

After long hikes, we loved sitting out in the evening sunshine on the balcony. Residence Nelkenstein is beautifully renovated, and the hostess was kind and helpful throughout our stay. A bakery is only about a three-minute walk away, while the church, mausoleum, castle, and the famous heart with the Schenna inscription can all be reached on foot in around 10-15 minutes. There’s a garden pool with a cover that can be used even when it rains, though our week passed too quickly for us to swim. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back.

We stayed for two weeks in May 2022 with our son, who was one at the time, and had a lovely time. The garden apartment gave him a great place to play, and we found everything we needed. The playground on site was a hit with both of us and him, and the washing machine on the first floor was handy for a longer stay. It cost a small fee to use. When our son came down with a fever, we had to push back our arrival by two days. The hostess was completely understanding, and adding those days to our stay was easy. Thanks for the warm welcome and great service. We’ll be back, this time as a family of four.

Martina found us a place to stay at short notice after construction noise forced us to leave our original accommodation. The apartment had everything we needed, and the house is modern and very well looked after. We were on the third floor, with a breathtaking view. Martina is easy to reach on WhatsApp, and the bread delivery can be arranged the same way, which we really appreciated. We’d happily recommend Residence Nelkenstein.

We first stayed here this year and have already booked for next year. The rooms are lovely and newly renovated, as is the whole residence. There’s a pool and loungers in the garden, with sunshine through much of midday.
