The balcony view over Merano is breathtaking, and the hotel feels cozy and inviting. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. We were truly delighted with Hotel Graf Hartwig and will definitely come back. Thanks so much for a wonderful South Tyrol holiday :)

We’ve stayed here with our family several times and are always happy to return. The hosts are warm and welcoming. The guesthouse has recently been converted into apartments, with bread and breakfast delivery available. The pool and its small sunbathing lawn are great for a relaxing afternoon. From the balcony, the spectacular view makes you want to linger until sunset. ☺️

We first heard about Hotel Graf Hartwig in Schenna a few years ago, and we’ve been coming back regularly ever since. The location speaks for itself: after swimming or hiking all day, the view of Merano and the village of Tirolo is breathtaking. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, and the service is top-notch. Our apartment is always spotless. It’s lovely to sit out on the terrace or under the new pergola with a coffee or a glass of wine. We’ll definitely be back.

We’ve spent two weeks at the Graf Hartwig guesthouse, and with the holiday nearly over, here are our impressions. The pool is covered, with the front windows fully opened when the weather is good. There’s a small but adequate sunbathing area on the lawn. The house sits above Schenna, and the rooms with valley-facing balconies have a very picturesque view. Having wine or beer out there in the evening was a lovely way to end each day. We were very happy with both the accommodation and location, and I still think the price is very fair compared with other places in South Tyrol. Many thanks to the Verdorfer family, who run this as a real family business. You can see the friendliness, cleanliness, and care they put into it. If we visit South Tyrol again, this will be one of the first places we check for availability.
