Starting a hike right from the apartment was great, and the two ski lift and gondola stations are nearby too. Gasthof Oberkirn has a good, fairly priced menu close by. Inside, there’s plenty of space, a large bathroom and living room, and a kitchen equipped with just about everything. The owners were friendly and happy to answer questions, and the balcony view is stunning. Just be aware the apartment sits at 1,400 meters, so the narrow, winding drive may not suit everyone. We’d definitely return.

We’ve just come back and are already hoping to visit again. Mathias, thanks for such a lovely stay in your apartment! The place was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. It’s in a fantastic setting with a beautiful view and a warm, welcoming feel. The landlord was kind, accommodating, and always ready to help.

The Hirzer area is easy for both young and old to explore, with its cable cars and chairlift, and eating at the mountain huts is a must. We’ve been visiting South Tyrol for years, and we’re already looking forward to next year and another stay at Leachwies with the Walder family. We got back three days ago, but are still thinking about them and how wonderful they made our time in the Leachwies apartment. It had everything we needed and more, and felt like home straight away. Sitting out on the balcony in the evening, nearly 1,500 meters up and surrounded by mountains, was indescribably beautiful. Thank you again.

We felt at home straight away, thanks to the warm welcome from the owners. The apartment is clean, charmingly furnished, and has everything you need. If you want peace and quiet high in the mountains, this is a lovely spot. We’d happily come back and recommend it.
