The location and panorama are a real highlight, and the pool is a nice way to unwind after an outing. I found the welcome warm and personal, and the care for guests was clear. The rooms were clean, comfortable, nicely furnished, and well kept. Breakfast included many locally sourced products, which made for a good start to the day. A few things could make the stay even better. The water in the wellness pool could be a little warmer, especially when the weather is cool. A short list of local restaurants in the room would help guests find their way around, and some more savory breakfast choices would suit people looking for a protein-rich meal or visiting from abroad. I’d recommend Walchhof Residence for its service and beautiful setting. With a little more information for guests and warmer pool water, it could be even better.

We spent three nights here, and the room was clean, warm, and inviting. Elisabetta gave us great ideas for enjoying the days outdoors in some magical places. We’d love to come back, and I definitely recommend it.

I stayed at the Walchhof this summer while on a road cycling trip and really enjoyed it. It’s a family-run hotel with a personal feel, wonderful views, and a lovely outdoor pool set in a garden. Breakfast was brought to the room and was superb. Warm regards to the whole family.

We found the location peaceful and really lovely, with several buses running until around 8:00 PM. The room was nice, clean, heated, and had a beautiful view. The staff were super friendly and courteous.

I loved the homemade breakfast and the modern, spotless apartments, all decorated with care. The owner is a hiking guide and gave us plenty of useful tips, she really knows the area. The Unterthurner family were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the views of castles, mountains, and apple orchards are breathtaking. Walchhof is right in the heart of Schenna, making it a perfect base for exploring the beautiful Merano region. Off to Schenna, then to the Walchhof!
