Schenna Resort Hotel Rosengarten

Merano itself is such a beautiful area, almost like one enormous garden. We also loved how this large hotel managed to feel family-friendly and welcoming while still running so smoothly. The staff and the setting made for a perfect stay. Thanks to everyone for making it so pleasant. We’ll definitely return.

Our boys made the most of the pool, slide, and kids’ area, while we enjoyed the gorgeous decor and those incredible views. Peter greeted us warmly and personally showed us to our room, which made us feel at home right away. There were lots of thoughtful little touches, too. We had a lovely couple of days here.

The pool setup was a highlight, with indoor and outdoor areas that meant we could keep swimming even when the weather turned bad. The spa, fitness facilities, wellness services, and saunas all went beyond what I expected. I spent a very relaxing week here, and the staff really know how to make you feel looked after. Dinner each day was so good I can hardly describe it. I also enjoyed the little wine tasting and the other evening activities. Excellent, excellent, excellent, times infinity! Keep it up.

We came back to the Schenna resort for a second year in a row, and the location still has a lovely view. Our Vinea suite was well equipped, had comfortable beds, and was cleaned thoroughly. The food was delicious, with plenty of choice, and the hotel’s own wine is available at dinner or to buy and take home. Staff across the hotel were very friendly. One of the owners also makes a point of coming around the restaurant each day to greet guests and chat, which is a nice touch. German and Italian are the main languages here. They try to speak English, though that doesn’t always go smoothly.
