As a customer at the cafe, I wasn't allowed to throw my trash away. Edit: that reply was kind of rude. I see the situation pretty much the opposite way, and it says a lot about your attitude.

Just sharing this for anyone researching before a stay, like I was. I can't speak about the rooms themselves, so check the pictures. There's no elevator between the two floors, and breakfast is basically cappuccino and croissants at the bar. The place feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. The fridge is stocked but left open and unplugged, and although there's air conditioning, there's no remote. The bidet seems straight out of the 1960s and needs to be filled with water before you can use it. The shower can leave the curtain stuck to your back, if that's your thing. Afterward, getting to the toilet means going barefoot or putting a towel down to dry the floor. You can decide for yourself.

The rooms were clean, the food was good, and the service was excellent, with helpful and courteous attention to detail. Prices seemed in line with the market. It's in a busy area on the way to Lignano, but the atmosphere still felt relaxed and friendly. Highly recommended.

My aunt and I stopped for coffee and a croissant. I like still being able to find something old-fashioned like this, much better than all the ultra-modern stuff. Sorry about my Italian, I'm Slovak (:
