Villa Lo Scalco

The hosts are really kind and helpful, and the house has everything you could want for a stay. It’s peaceful, with mountains and vineyards all around, a great pool, lots of space, and excellent rooms and hygiene facilities. The kitchen is in a class of its own. Piazzo and Segonzano are easy to reach on foot, as are the amazing Pyramidi. Trento is a lovely half-hour drive, and Lago di Lases is just a few minutes away, where you can cliff dive from a steep rock 10m up. It’s all there. By far the most beautiful place in Trentino!

Perfect, in one word!

The house sleeps 16 people across 8 bedrooms, each with a whirlpool bath. There’s a barbecue area, a bar, a professional kitchen, and an infinity pool. It sits among vineyards, while the charming villages of Piazzo and Segonzano are still an easy walk away. There are plenty of scenic hikes to the earth pyramids and along the stream to climbing crags. Wineries are close by, and the place also makes a great base for cycling or motorcycle tours.

We spent a week in this lovely house with three families, and both the house and grounds were very well maintained. The pool was 26 degrees Celsius during our stay in the height of summer; it might be a bit chilly in June or September. My only complaint was that glasses had to be washed after every use. It would help to have twice as many drinking glasses instead of 16, and perhaps some larger ones too.
