Moxy Milan Linate Airport

My room was quiet, with ZERO airplane noise, and a nice size. But it was FREEZING and never really warmed up, even after I turned off the air. There was a glass in the bathroom with a dried, thick white film inside, plus hairs on the floor, so the room clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. I told the front desk, but didn't move because I only had about 4 hours to sleep and wasn't staying long. In keeping with Marriott service, points appeared in my account the next day. I chose the Moxy because I had an early flight from Linate, it was very close, and I'm a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member. I arrived well after 10pm and was glad I could walk from the train stop inside the airport. It was late, but the lit path across the road didn't feel unsafe. Checking in at the bar was a cool idea, and I got a free drink. The lobby had Moxy's signature art-deco touches. I bought a sandwich from the small pantry; the bartender heated it and showed me where to find all kinds of condiments. I noticed a restaurant next door that seemed to be open until around 10pm, and there's ample parking outside. It's a good option for flying out of Linate.

A handy choice if you have a very early flight the next day. The rooms are nice and work well for a short stay. The hotel has a very nice vibe, and there's an amazing Japanese restaurant very close by.

The food was pretty good, and the staff were really nice. But the AC didn't work. I moved rooms and it was slightly better, then warmed up as soon as I got in. The temperature went from 22 to 23.5 in 30 min. The first room was 28! I was stuck in meetings for six hours and couldn't leave. Really bad for business travel.

We spent a horrible night at the Moxy in Linate on April 11, 2026. We were coming from South America and planned to rest in Milan before continuing to Southeast Asia. Choosing it because it was close to the airport was a mistake. I now know what it feels like to be homeless. The room was very small and basic, without even a kettle for tea or coffee. The main problem was the heat: it was 27 degrees Celsius, and the air conditioning wasn't working. The whole system was off because, supposedly, it isn't allowed to run before a certain time of year. The receptionist apologized and acknowledged that complaints were constant. He moved us to an east-facing room, where the morning sun would be more bearable, and used his special key to open the window. Otherwise, it only opens partially. He said fresh air would come in, but with the door closed it couldn't circulate. We were hot all night and heard traffic from all around. It was Saturday, and I think some nearby event brought hundreds of loud, high-powered motorcycles. Across the street, alarms kept going off in a large parking lot used as a distribution center. It felt like living on the street, and we couldn't rest. The hotel is across from the airport, but getting there on foot with luggage is difficult. You have to follow a complicated route through a roundabout to cross the avenue. Taking the brand-new Line 4 metro is much easier. It costs €2.20 and takes just 17 minutes to reach a hotel closer to the city center, where there are dozens of hotels, restaurants, and shops to choose from.
