My two grandkids, 11 and 7, loved the infinity pool looking out over the Dolomites and the hot tub after skiing. They’re picky eaters, but the family-run Hotel Continental Dolomites happily handled all their food requests. The food was absolutely to die for, and the service was the best I’ve experienced. The location is hard to beat, especially since in March, with the snow conditions, it was one of the only hotels offering Ski-in-Ski-Out. This was my second stay, and the hospitality was incredible once again. I can’t think of a better place to stay in Val Gardena, and we’re already looking forward to coming back from Canada. For anyone planning a once in a lifetime ski trip to Italy, I highly recommend Hotel Continental.

We had a good stay, but the room overlooked the parking lot even though it was supposed to have a view of the slopes. At checkout, it would have been nice if someone had at least asked how our stay went.

The service is what really made the stay enjoyable. We had half board, and dinner was really nice, though breakfast could use more choice. The pancakes and crepes were a bit underwhelming and could definitely be better. Our new room looked over the valley and felt modern and stylish, with a lovely atmosphere. The outdoor pool was amazing, and the wellness centre was adequate.

The staff were all really nice and helpful, and the food and drinks were great. Breakfast had the best display I’ve ever seen, and the rooms were spacious. There’s no air conditioning, but that was fine for us. The beds could be better, though. We had an amazing time and couldn’t recommend the place more.

The standout was the receptionist who had only been on the job for two days. She was incredibly kind and attentive, far better than the other, supposedly experienced staff. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the wellness facilities were good. But the restaurant staff were consistently unfriendly, with sad, unpleasant expressions that made it seem like they didn’t want to be there. Our room had no air conditioning or double bed, and the shower water heating was very poor. Apart from those issues, it’s a good hotel.
