The location is good and the rooms are spacious, but much of the rest of the hotel felt short on care and hospitality. We stayed 10 nights, and the cups and glassware in our room were dirty and never replaced. Towels were frayed and changed only every three days. The blankets were old and too short, with no spare blankets or pillows available. Meals were disappointing too. Breakfast was very basic, with only white rolls, no fresh milk or fruit, and cheap, non-fresh yogurt toppings. Items weren't replenished. Dinner was rushed through as a four-course meal in an hour, and the buffet was too small for the number of guests. Several evenings dishes ran out and stayed empty. The menu portions were so small that we had to go back to the buffet, which gave the place a stingy feel. The sauna is small, dated, and open for limited hours, with no weekend access. For some facilities we had to collect tokens at reception, which didn't feel welcoming. The biggest problem was the atmosphere: no warm greeting, poor lighting, a closed bar, and no cozy places to sit. The owners seemed stressed and showed little interest in guests, so asking questions felt uncomfortable. We felt more unwelcome than welcome. The stay was a major disappointment. If running a hotel feels like too much effort, guests end up feeling it.

The owners are very accommodating and willing to help with anything, so I can only think some guests with complaints didn't ask or speak up. We've been here several times, and it's our go-to place when riding in the Alps. The rooms are excellent, the food is good, breakfast has a huge buffet, and the people are great. There's underground parking for bikes and a dry room if needed. On our latest motorcycle trip the weather was against us, but the family helped us arrange a rental so we could still do some cultural sightseeing. The food was plentiful and as good as usual. I love this place and highly recommend it. One tip from a bigger guy like me: some bathrooms are on the small side, so ask about a room with a larger one. The smaller bathrooms work fine, though I did bump into things more often.

Right among the beautiful scenery of Val Gardena, with the best lifts nearby. The Tyrolian atmosphere is lovely, and the restaurant is excellent.

The hosts were kind and helpful with travel information, and the free covered garage was really convenient. I only stayed three nights, but had a great time and hope to come back in winter, maybe then I'll raise my rating. My single room was small, but just right for one person. My only drawback was that there was no bidet, which I consider necessary. Dinner and breakfast were both more than good, with plenty of variety.
