Hotel Jägerheim

The spa was a highlight, with a lovely view of the Dolomites, steam and dry saunas, hot tubs, and a cold plunge. We had a great Christmas stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the hotel welcomes dogs. Everyone we met, from the front desk to the bar and restaurant, was so welcoming. Christmas dinner was one of the best multi-course meals we've had, and there was entertainment on some nights. We can't wait to return on our next trip to the Dolomites.

Ricardo, our waiter, was the brightest part of the stay. He helped us with many things and was by far the kindest person at the hotel. I felt comfortable asking him about plans and recommendations. Breakfast and dinner were good as well, and the food was one of the strongest points. I came with my husband and his family for a relaxing week, but the experience fell short of what I expected from a 4.7-star hotel. The service overall disappointed me. I know people in this part of Italy may be reserved, but a smile or kind gesture while taking an order would have meant a lot. The spa policy was the main issue. I was told it was mandatory to be completely naked there, even in the outdoor pool. I'm five months pregnant, and explained that in my culture being nude in a public place with people of different sexes and ages makes me uncomfortable. I didn't feel there was much understanding. Since the pool is outside, skiers above and guests looking down from higher parts of the property could potentially see people. I understand that nudity in saunas may be common here, and I would have been comfortable with a towel. Requiring full nudity in an outdoor pool felt excessive and shocking. I really think the policy should be reconsidered. The hotel is small, and the nudist spa is basically its only relaxation space, so I felt stuck and couldn't enjoy my stay properly. I even paid to use spa facilities at nearby hotels just to relax. My room was very small, and its view looked onto the back of the building. The location also wasn't right for the kind of holiday I wanted. There aren't other comfortable places to relax at the hotel, and little nearby if you want to walk or get fresh air. Without a car, reaching the village means walking down a quiet road with essentially nothing around. I wouldn't choose this hotel again, and would suggest future guests think carefully about these things before booking.

We spent three days here for our honeymoon and loved every minute, though we were sad to leave. The spa had saunas, a steam room, and several hot tubs, and the views were a 10 out of 10. Town is close enough to walk to, or you can take the bus to the restaurants. Col Raiser is within walking distance too. The staff and food were excellent, and we looked forward to breakfast every morning. We'll definitely come back next time we're in town.

The slopes were fantastic, and being able to ski in and out made the trip even better. We ate incredibly well, and the meals were a real treat. The staff were warm and welcoming. We arrived late on our first night with two hungry children, and they'd prepared a lovely meal for our family after hours. The facilities were great. Thanks for such a lovely stay, we're already planning another visit.
